Charles Tipton Susong

Mr. Charles T. Susong, 90, of Hixson, passed away on Sunday, September 23, 2018. Charles was born in Ewing, Virginia on April 15, 1928 to the late James and Martha Susong. He was a retired glass inspector for AFG. Charles was a long time member and diligent worker at Belvue Christian Church in Kingsport, TN. He was preceded in death by 5 sisters, Opal, Bartie, Mae, Estelle and Wilma.He is survived by his wife, Gladys Susong; son, Rodney Susong and wife, Johnetta; grandchildren, Jason and Jessica Susong; and brothers, Chester and Arvil Susong. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 28th from 4-6 pm at Chattanooga Funeral Home North Chapel, Hixson. The funeral will be in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 pm On Saturday, September 29th with Rev Gary Armes officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
