Brockton - Charles C "Charlie" Zammit, peacefully passed away on July 21st at 77 years of age surrounded by his loving family. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Mortimer N Peck Funeral Chapels, 516 Washington St., Braintree, MA 02184 on July 28, 2023 from 2:00pm to 5:30pm. Born in Malta, Charlie was the eldest of 11 children born of Sebastian & Mary Zammit. When Charlie was 8, the family immigrated to the United States and settled in the Boston area and remained in the Boston and South Shore area for most of his life. Charlie loved the open road and was a long-haul trucker, spending most of his life driving all across the country and always ready and delighted to share tales of his journeys and the routes that got him there. He retired to Virginia Beach and spent most of his time tinkering under a car or in a boat fishing and enjoying the sea, until his health and family brought him back to the South Shore. Charles was devoted to his large family and enjoyed spending time with them. He is the former husband of Wanda Sears-Zammit & Geraldine Zammit. Loving father of Rhonda Zammit-Livingston, and her husband Joseph Livingston, Jr of Kingston, Maria Zammit of Whitman and Candice Bleicken-Connors and her husband Brian Connors of Norwell. Grandfather of Antonio Reisopoulos, Stephen Livingston, Sean Spencer, Thomas Spencer, Whitney Connors & Courtney Connors. Great-grandfather of Sylvie Spencer, Emma Spencer & Thomas Spencer Jr. Cherished brother of Andy Zammit, Georgina Noyes, Nina Farrell, Rose Marie Zammit, Mary Patrizzi, Anthony Zammit and Sebastian Zammit. Predeceased by Ralph Zammit, Marguerite "Maggie" Zammit & Sylvia Zammit. He is leaving behind a legacy that resonates deeply in the hearts of numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews & cousins - all of whom will cherish their memories of him. The Visitation will be held on Friday July 28th from 2PM to 5:30PM with a brief eulogy at 5:30, at the Mortimer N Peck Funeral Chapels, 516 Washington Street, Braintree, MA 02184.
