Cher Yia Lee (83) born as Pa Seng Lee in Laos November 19, 1940 passed away on January 5, 2024 in Lindsay, CA.

Cher Yia loved his family, friends, and neighbors and embraced his culture and values deeply rooted within him. From 1960-1966, Cher Yia was recruited into the military during the Vietnam War. He was part of the "Guerilla" fighting forces and later transitioned into field medic for his unit from 1967-1975. From 1975-1978 Cher Yia led his family away from war and migrated into Thailand for refuge.

In 1981 Cher Yia migrated to the U.S. and embarked on a new life with his family in beautiful San Diego, CA. Cher Yia briefly attended adult school and completed various vocational training from 1981-1984. Cher Yia was employed at a bakery in San Diego from 1984-1987. It was at this bakery that he developed his love of coffee and pastry in the morning.
