Chris Armitage was born April 22, 1948 in Sacramento, CA. He passed away on Dec. 13, 2015 in Reno, NV at the age of 67. Chris had a passion for music. He was proud to have played the trombone in the stage band at Harrah's Lake Tahoe in the late 60's and early 70's and to have been a choir director for three churches in Sparks. He was also an experienced photographer and loved woodworking. He served in the U.S. Air Force during Vietnam, and afterward, worked as a truck driver for UPS for 35 years. He is survived by his wife, Elaine Armitage, whom he was married to for 44 years, and his children, Michael Armitage and Melissa Jung. Chris was a talented and steadfast man, and he will be missed dearly by his family. Private services will be held at a later date.
