Christian A. Barrett

Christian Alexander Barrett, 24, of Abington, died suddenly at home in Boynton Beach, Fla. on July 5, 2017. Born on October 6, 1992, Christian graduated from Abington High School where he was an outstanding athlete and a proud member of the Greenwave community. He was a valued team player on his beloved Abington Greenwave football team and Abington Greenwave lacrosse team, where he broke scoring records and was named to the All Scholastic roster. After high school Christian worked for many years for Barrett Restaurant Group and in Florida he sold computer software. Christian was a friend | a true friend to everyone he knew, with an uncanny knack for making anyone laugh. He was a funny, empathetic, loving young man. His greatest gift was making people feel loved and important. He always included an underdog or raised someone up | he was a beautiful, warm light. If you knew Christian, you loved him. From a large family, Christian is survived by his father Richard C. Barrett of Abington, and his mother Amy (Morgan) Barrett of East Bridgewater. Christian was a self-proclaimed mommas boy and one of Amys greatest joys was being his mother. He is also survived by his brothers, Cole Barrett of San Francisco, Ca.; Peter Barrett and Maxwell Barrett of Abington; Nolan Barrett, Theo Barrett, and Ian Barrett of East Bridgewater; and his sisters Olivia Barrett, Claudia Barrett, and Clancey Barrett of East Bridgewater; and Amanda Coutsoumbos-Beal, her husband Christopher and their two daughters Cynthea Grace and Violet Elizabeth of Brockton. He is also survived by his grandfather Neil J. Morgan of Easton and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Christian would also want to acknowledge his friends | too many to name but you know who you are. The family extends their deepest gratitude to all who have supported them through this very difficult time and asks that in Christians memory, please be kind to each other. Make someone feel important; compliment someone for no reason. Our world is harsh but we can make positive changes to make our world a better place one person at a time | one random act of kindness at a time. Let that be Christians legacy because he made everyone he knew and loved better for knowing him. A funeral Mass scheduled for Wednesday, July 12, 2017, 11 a.m. at St. Bridget Church, 455 Plymouth Street in Abington. At the familys request, Christians burial will be private.
