Christian Sloan Obituary
MOORESVILLE - Christian "Chris" Marques Sloan, 17, who died Sunday, Feb. 1, 2009, at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center, was born to Mrs. Kimberly Sloan-Lee on May 17, 1991, in Rowan County.
Chris was a senior at Mooresville High School, where he ran track and had been a member of the Rowan Express Track Team.
Chris had a loving smile and will be missed by all who knew him.
He leaves joyous memories to his mother, Kimberly Sloan-Lee, father Jackie D. Lee, and sister Kianna D. Cook, all of the home; stepbrother Bobby O. Lee of Salisbury; grandparents Robert and Carolyn K. Archie of Salisbury; and great-grandmother Cherry L. Jones.
Service and Visitation: Funeral services will be Saturday, Feb. 7 at 2 p.m. At Cornerstone Church, Webb Road. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to service.
Memorials: In memory of Chris a donation can be made to Mooresville High School, Track Team, 659 E. Center St., Mooresville, NC 28115.
Rowan Funeral Services will assist the Sloan/Lee family.

Our heart goes out to you and your family for the great loss of your son Christian.
There simply are no words that can comfort us when we mourn a death, especially that of our very own child. The pain, sadness and distress; is like no other… the only comfort that gives us the endurance to go on, to survive, is Christ’s Love and the hope of being reunited with our loved ones for an eternity in God’s presence. I had the pleasure of teaching Chris for 2 years and loved every minute of it. It was a blessing watching him mature and even more of a blessing when we met again at part of the same church family. I have so many memories of Chris and it is so difficult for me to believe this moment is real.
