Christopher James Bauer, known to his loved ones as Chris, passed away on November 8, 2023, at the age of 51 in Oakdale, Minnesota. He was born on January 24, 1972, in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Chris had a deep passion for cars, which led him to work at Honest1 Auto Care in Cottage Grove for the past six years. His knowledge and love for automobiles made him an asset to the team, and he thoroughly enjoyed his time there. Additionally, Chris had a great affinity for motorcycles and loved the thrill of riding.

As a devoted fan of the MN Wild, Chris found great joy in attending their games at the Xcel Energy Center and never missed an opportunity to cheer for his favorite team. He also enjoyed watching their games on TV, passionately supporting them from the comfort of his home.

Chris will be deeply missed by his fiancé, Amber Vang, and his children, Cody (Brittany) Fitzgerald, Brenna (Kevin) Wiatros, and Christopher (Lily) Bauer. He was also a cherished son to Donald (Melody) Rose Sr. and the late Beverly Bauer Pask. Chris leaves behind his sisters, Lori (Curt) Weiss and Melissa (Chad) Rose, his brother, Donald (Carrie) Rose Jr., and his grandchildren, Melanie, Tony, and Harley Fitzgerald. He will be fondly remembered by his aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and numerous friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on December 16, 2023, at the North Saint Paul VFW located at 2483 7th Ave E, North Saint Paul, MN 55109. This gathering will provide an opportunity for family and friends to come together, share their memories of Chris, and honor his life.

Please join us in celebrating the life of Chris Bauer, a kind-hearted individual who will be remembered for his love of cars, motorcycles, and the MN Wild. His presence will forever be missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

I will always remember how Chris could always put a smile on your face even when you were having a rough day I met him while I was towing for absolute down in Newport and would always end up bringing a loaf to his shop Chris was a very down to earth real person at heart he will be deeply missed RIP bro

I met Chris when I worked at O'Reilly Auto Parts. It was my third or 4th day and he busted my chops for the way I was dressed since I hadn't gotten my uniform yet. I wasn't sure about him after our initial meeting, but as the time went on I realized that was his his style of humor and I started giving it back as much as he gave and we became great friends. The day I learned that Chris had the biggest heart was a few days after my mom passed he took me aside and we had the best conversation about the loss of our mothers. He knew exactly what I was going through and that conversation helped me more than I could ever express to him. I will miss his laugh and how we loved to mess with each other on a daily basis. My heart goes out to his family.
