Hi. I worked at Froggy's bar many moons ago and always adored Chris. I loved when he would come in and I would spend many hours talking with him when we were slow. He made me laugh and was always so kind. He often drove me home so I wouldn't have to walk across the bridge and take the incline. Its been so long since I've seen him but he was in a dream I had last night so I decided to see what he was up to. I was so sad to read he passed. He was a good guy. I'm sorry for your loss.

This is the fourth anniversary of Chris's death, which was many years too soon. He enjoyed messing up a kitchen with his cooking, was extremely generous to friends, and loved opening cards on his birthday or Christmas, not reading them just crazily shaking them to see if they had money in them or not.

My brother is loved, missed and remembered.

Rose Hankish

June 19, 2012

On what would have been Chris's 50th birthday.

You are dead four years now
I can hardly believe it
And I still wait for your calls
Even if we yelled

You died too young
Mom named you after St. Christopher
As she thought you would have to carry the weight of the world upon your shoulders

I miss my brother

My Dearest Rose, I too miss your brother. I remember how close we once were. I recall visiting your home with you and your Mom there. Both of you, so sweet to me. My love to you. George Pikras

In Memory of Chris on the Third Anniversary of his Death

Snapshots of a life lived and lost
Placed lovingly in a special corner
In the hearts of so many

Epic smiles and tank tops
Sport coats and moustaches
His dark Lebanese hair
Never got a chance to turn grey

Images of a young man
Dapper and magnetic
He could charm the paint off a car
If he wanted to
Photos of his buddies he loved as brothers
Pictures of the girls that circled around him

Glossy prints of family portraits
Brother, sister, mother, father
A bond of pain and hope
His life lived fast and uncompromisingly

Chris, a man's will
Trapped in a boy's soul
Who caught the biggest fish
And carried the weight of the world
Upon his shoulders

Happy Birthday to you Chris. Hard for me to imagine you all grown up. I only remember you as the little kid that was into everything as your were growing up. I remember Robert Young always talking you into grabbing pockets full of change from your dad so we could go to Sam Montgomery's and play pinball. Rest well till we meet again.

For Rose...

Thank you for sharing the photos of Chris. So many people come in and out of our lives when we are young. But very few touch your heart and leave a lasting memory. There was just something about Chris, his warmth, charm, a sparkle in his eyes. That smile you could see across a very dark room.

He was so wise beyond his years as a young man. Thru him I learned much about respect, love and kindess. **I will remember him as the ONLY man who ALWAYS opened the car door for me!**

He will always have a special place in my heart.
