Christopher Allen Sneddon

Services with Military Honors were held on Monday December 17, 2007 in Fallon, Nevada for Chief Petty Officer Christopher Allen Sneddon USN, Ret. age 41, who passed away on Tuesday December 11, 2007.Chris was born on April 17, 1966 in Niagara Falls, NY and was the beloved son of Dolores Sneddon and Allen (Cathy) Sneddon both of Niagara Falls, NY. He had lived in Fallon, NV for three and a half years, coming from Virginia Beach, VA. Chris grew up in Niagara Falls, NY and graduated from the former Trott Vocational High School in 1984 with a degree in welding. He worked at the Niagara Falls Aquarium from 1981 to 1984. He was an avid hockey fan, having played for eight years in the Niagara Amateur Hockey League, two years for the Wheatfield Blades, one year for the Lockport Junior A team, and three years for the Trott High School Varsity team. He was also a dedicated Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres fan.Soon after graduation, Chris joined the United States Navy where he served honorably for 22 years, achieving the rank of Chief Petty Officer. He had tours of duty in Somalia and Afghanistan, where he received the Afghanistan Service Medal. After retirement from the Navy in 2007, he worked for Sikorsky Contractors at NAS Fallon as a supply technician.Chris is survived by his loving wife Tammy (Corona) Sneddon of Fallon, NV; sons Christian, Brandon and Cameron Sneddon all of Mesa, AZ; stepsons Nick and Adam Hitt of Fallon, NV and was the loving Papa of granddaughter Allyson of Fallon, NV. Chris was also the cherished brother of Candi Grunwald of Gilbert, AZ and Anna Andrejcak of Niagara Falls, NY; favorite uncle of Danielle Grunwald of Gilbert, AZ; Christina, Erin and Zachary Andrejcak all of Niagara Falls, NY and great uncle of Nadia Grunwald of Gilbert, AZ. Chris will also be forever in the hearts of many, many friends.A memorial service will be held on Saturday December 22, 2007 from 1 – 4 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI and SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY with funeral celebrant Lynette B. Castiglia officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of ones choice.
