Christopher Wilt

Christopher L. Wilt, 60 of Spring Hill FL (formally of Adrian, MI) passed away June 10, 2018 at Oak Hill Hospital with his partner of 22 years beside him. He was born November 27, 1957 Thanksgiving day to Patricia Cooper Waid and Richard Wilt. Chris graduated from Gulf High School in 1985.
Chris had a big soft spot in his heart for animals and cherished his friends and family. He was a hardworking man who enjoyed his job as the Production Engineer at Pasco Hernando State College. He loved rock and roll and was the singer and soundman in several local bands including Krispy and the Mud Sharks, Rock and Roll Xpress, Thunder Road, Hot Mustad, and the Bike Shop Boys. His biggest passion was muscle cars. His pride and joy was his 68 Camaro that he was restoring.

Chris is survived by his fiancé Carole Wouters; daughter Melissa Marie Summers; granddaughter Paige Marie Summers; his mother Patricia Cooper Waid of Adrian MI; brothers Terry Sherman, of Florida; George Wilt and wife Dee, of West Virginia; Sean Johnson, of Maryland; Richard Wilt and wife Mindy, of Michigan, sister Marjorie Wilt, of Michigan; Sister in law Lourdes Johnson, of Alabama. He is also survived by 13 nephews; 5 nieces; 11 great nephews and 3 great nieces. Predeceased are daughter Thomaleeia Diane Wilt; father Richard Wilt; brothers Scott Wilt; Bill Johnson; Richie Wilt; and beloved dog Harley.

There will be a Celebration of Life be on July 2, 2018 at 7 pm. at Pasco Hernando State College conference center (building R151) located at 10230 Ridge Road, New Port Richey Florida, 34654 with PHSC President Timothy Beard presiding. In lieu of flowers the family would prefer guests to make a donation to The Humane Society of the United States or Eckerd Connects Raising Hope (a program to help foster kids.)
