Cindy Partridge Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jan. 15, 2025.
Mom.

It is with deep sadness and heartfelt love that we announce the passing of Cindy Partridge, a beloved mother, wife, sister, and friend, who left this world peacefully on 5 Jan 2025. Cindy's life was a tapestry of love, laughter, and eclectic passions, woven together with unwavering devotion to her family, friends, and the world of nature.

A Life Full of Love.

Born on 7 Feb 1957, Cindy grew up with an extraordinary capacity for love and compassion that touched everyone she met. She nurtured and adored her children Chad and Shaun more than words can ever express. As their steadfast protector, biggest cheerleader, and constant source of warmth, she poured her heart into creating a home full of joy, lessons, and unconditional support.

Cindy had a strong loving bond with her Mother, Father and her cherished siblings Debbie, Carla, Steve and Johna, and treasured their shared memories and lifelong love. Her extended family and friends held a special place in her heart; Cindy was the first to inject humor into any conversation and also the glue that brought everyone together. Whether through her comedic stories, matter of fact personality, home cooked meals, or heartfelt conversations, Cindy's presence was the happiness of everyone's day. Being a dedicated school bus driver in Vanderburgh County for over 30 years, Cindy faithfully protected the lives of generations of children, treating each as her own. It was her infectious and genuine smile and simple acts of kindness towards unfortunate children that she secretly provided for as a school bus driver that will forever endear her to countless families across the county.

A love of Animals.

Cindy had an extraordinary lifelong connection with animals. Her crew ranged from pigs, donkeys, horses, raccoons, iguanas and birds, to of course dogs and cats. In her younger years, it was common for Cindy to rescue anything in need, be it dogs, cats or anything on the side of the road. As she grew into adulthood, this affection towards animals led to some of the greatest bonds with her beloved Bo, Cisco, Flora, Josie, and countless barn kitties who were as much a part of her family as anyone else. She believed animals had the purest souls and often remarked how much they taught her about love and loyalty, whether it was through a wagging tail, a gentle purr or just a sweet nudge from Josie, knowing when she wasn't well. Cindy found immense joy and solace in their presence.

A Passion for Flowers and Landscape.

Her passion for flowers and landscape was a defining feature of her life. Cindy had a natural talent for seeing the beauty in nature and making it bloom all around her. Her gardens were a reflection of her vibrant spiritfilled with colorful flowers, intricate arrangements, and thoughtfully cultivated spaces that brought tranquility and inspiration to everyone who visited.

Whether designing a flower bed, re-arranging plants for just the right spot, giving bulbs to people she influenced in the same art, anxiously awaiting spring for the first blooms in her dogwoods, or imagining herself as a cowgirl back in the wild west, Cindy found beauty in every blade of grass and every landscape. Her love for flowers and nature wasn't just a hobby it was her way of sharing her soul with the world.

Legacy of Kindness and Strength.

Cindy's life was defined by her love that truly had no boundaries. Her Witt, Strength, Resiliency, Humility, and her Generosity. She always prioritized the needs of others, often placing them above her own, and she faced every challenge with grace and steadfast resilience. Cindy's fierce instinct to protect and defend those she loved and cared about is something that has been thoughtfully ingrained in her children. Her kindness, laughter, and wisdom left an indelible mark on all who knew her.

Cindy is predeceased by her loving parents, Jolene and Clyde, as well as her eldest sister Debbie. She is survived by her Husband Mike, two adoring children, Chad (Laila) and Shaun (Stacy); five wonderful grandchildren, Haley, Caden, Sadie, Sophia and Harrison; her cherished siblings, Carla, Steve (Toni), Johna (Scott) and her brother in law, Ray; in addition to multiple nieces, nephews, and a wide circle of amazing friends who will carry her memory in their hearts forever.

In honor of Cindy's love for animals and her battle with cancer the family asks that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to nearby animal rescues or any cancer foundation you may feel is appropriate to your life experience. In addition, her digital obituary will soon be published on legacy.com. Everyone is highly encouraged to visit and contribute a heartfelt story or comment to celebrate Cindy.

Celebration of Life.

A celebration of Cindy's beautiful life will be held in the spring during the blooming season at her home. Friends and family are invited to come together, share stories, and honor the legacy of a woman whose love and light will forever shine.

Cindy Partridge (Mommy): a soul who loved deeply, lived through strength and faith, and left the world far brighter than she found it.

Been to a lot of places this year mom and every one of them I´ve had the urge to call and tell you how beautiful it was. Especially out west where I know you always wanted to be. Things are good but not ever going to be the same ever again. I miss you endlessly and would love to hug you but know I can´t. But know all the flowers you´ve given me over the years has traveled with me just like you always will. I love you my wonderful mommy.
