Cindy Sheets Obituary
Cindy A. Sheets, 45, lifelong resident of Remington, joined many family members in heaven at 6:30 PM, January 9, 2016 at her home surrounded by family.
Cindy along with her beautiful smile was born December 21, 1970 in Monticello, IN to the late Fredrick and June (England) Sheets. Cindy grew up in the Wolcott and Remington area attending Tri-County High School graduating with the Class of 1989. While attending Tri-County High School Cindy participated in various clubs and was very active in sports, excelling in volleyball. Her marriage was to William "Bill" Stearns, they later divorced. He survives. Cindy was a former member of PSI IOTA XI Sorority.
Cindy's love of people, her kind heart generous spirit, and positive attitude allowed her to work in various administrative positions, gain lasting friendships, and to become a community minded citizen. Cindy has had many people over the years consider her family, so if you were sitting around the campfire or the dining table, meeting her at the game, or just hanging out on her couch, she enjoyed and loved every minute of it.
She had many joys in life, tropical climates, sun, sandy beaches, reading, her pets, and sports with an avid love for softball; she even became an umpire.
Moving on to a world where pain doesn't exist she leaves behind a fiancé, Daren Maples of Remington; siblings Sharyl Sheets of Fowler, and Fredrick Sheets II of Fowler. She is also survived by her beautiful nieces, Chelsy Stepp and Cheyenne Stepp both of Fowler; an aunt, Connie (Jerry) Hughes of Crawfordsville; and uncle, Chuck Smith of Macy, IN.
Preceding her in death along with her parents are grandparents, Chester Jr. and Mary England, Earl and Lillian Sheets; one aunt, Becky Smith.
Friends may call from 4:00 pm (EST) until 8:00 pm (EST), Wednesday, January 13, 2016 and from 10:00 am (EST) until time of service at 11:00 am (EST), Thursday, January 14, 2016 at the Remington United Methodist Church with Reverend Mary vanWijk officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made in Cindy's name to Tri-County Summer Recreation to assist with the softball program.

We are so sorry to hear of Cindy's passing. Although we didn't know her personally, we knew her parents. She was sweet enough to let us know of her dad's passing. When we last spoke, we could tell she had a compassionate and loving spirit. We can rest assure that there is now another angel with wings......
