On Wednesday, January 13, 2016. Devoted wife of the late Morris. Beloved mother and mother-in-law of Liza and Gérard Mareuil, Sandra, and Nicole. Cherished grandmother of Caroline and Cédric Brami, Patrick and Anne Mareuil. Proud great- grandmother of Mattias, Chloé, and Anaïs Brami; Samuel and Elia Mareuil. Loving sister and sister- in-law of Hilda and the late Abraham Fattal, Madeleine and the late Jack Khazzam, Mayer and Roberta Lawee, and the late Alice Lawee, and sister-in-law of Louise and the late Saleh Chitayat, the late Edward and the late Clarisse Chitayat, the late Louise Chitayat. Treasured aunt of Victor Chitayat, Tammy and Steven Kumin, Ruth and Simon Shamash, Robert and Karina Chitayat; Liza and David Datnow, Alan and Carine Chitayat, Jack and Nikoo Chitayat; Ronnie and Fiona Fattal, Diana and Avner Mouallem, Sandra and Andrew Graham; Mira and Ruth Khazzam, Sass and Sharmeen Khazzam, Philip and Carla Khazzam; Laura Lawee, David and Lorna Lawee, Daniel and Suzanne Lawee, Beth Lawee, and Shauna Matlin. Claire will be sadly mourned and lovingly remembered by her grandnieces and grandnephews, family and friends. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Sunday, January 17 at 11:00 a.m. Burial at the Spanish & Portuguese Congregation Cemetery, 1250 ch. de la Forêt.
