Clarence Lawrence "Buster" Barlow Jr. passed from this earthly life into his heavenly home on Sunday, October 30, 2017 at 93 years of age. Buster is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Jean Barlow, his three children Travis James Leahy, Anne Marie Barlow, Craig Malcolm Barlow, grandson Cameron Lawrence Barlow, sister Patricia Walker and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Buster was born in Morganza, Louisiana on February 4, 1924 to C.L. Barlow Sr., and his wife Martha Barlow. He proudly served in WWII in the European Theater and returned to complete a business degree from the University of Houston. Mr. Barlow raised his family in Tyler where he owned and operated the Gold Leaf Gallery for 36 years as well as Gifts by Crede.

Mr. Barlow was an avid bird watcher, animal lover, barbershop singer for more than 50 years, an active UH Alumni, art collector, church and choir member of Fifth Street Presbyterian Church for 30 plus years, business owner (Gold Leaf Gallery) a brilliant story teller and writer, poet and never met a stranger.

A Memorial Service and Celebration will be held at Green Acres Baptist Church, November 18, 2017 at 2 pm.
