Rice, Clarys R. (Nee Russell) Age 94 years. Found peace on May 29, 2004. Loving wife of the late Charles A. Rice. Beloved mother of Mahlon C. (Alrae) Rice. Proud grandmother of Charles (Shanna), Christopher (Ellen), Samantha and Andrea. Great grandmother of Keegan. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends in Kansas and throughout the country. Graveside service Thursday July 8, 2004 at 11AM at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Makato, Kansas. Clarys was a lifetime educator, having taught children and adults with special needs in several states as well as throughout the world. She spent her later years educating in Hilo, Hawaii and Ypsilanti, Michigan. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Charles Rice Teacher Education Fund-c/o Max A. Sass & Sons Funeral Home-1515 W. Oklahoma Ave. Milwaukee, WI 53215.
