He was born in Portsmouth, Iowa, on May 29, 1926, to Albert and Laura (Leinen) Reid and served his country in the US Navy. He was united in marriage to Daisy (Owens) on June 29, 1947. Claude was a retired Iron Worker from Local #21.
Claude is preceded in death by his parents, Laura and Albert; brothers, John, Albert "Bud", and Everett Reid this past July; and sister, Viola.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Daisy; children, Richard (Kristi), Randy (Vickie), Linda Reid; 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; brothers, Verle (Maxine), Lloyd (Mary), Floyd (Sharon), Larry (Sharon); sisters, Dolly Lara, Mary Page (Darrell), Bernadette Scott (John), Ila Mae Mayo (Johnny); nieces and nephews.
Visitation with the family, Friday, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral services Saturday, 11 a.m., all at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Bayliss Park Chapel. Pastor David Leggett, New Life Fellowship Church, Officiant. Interment Cedar Lawn Cemetery with military rites by American Legion Post 2. Lunch will follow at New Life Fellowship. Family will direct memorials.

"Grandma" Daisy,
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I remember visiting your home when I was in junior high (with Cindy) and how loving you both were. May he rest in peace and you find comfort as you continue to grieve his loss.
