I was an TCA/Air Canada employee as a radio operator. My camera saw me at many functions - retirements, awards, etc. There was one occasion when Mr Taylor was to speak to a group in Toronto and I was asked to to the photos. I was to be on duty in radio that day but since Mr Taylor was the speaker I was released to to the photos, I jokingly said that I would drive Mr Taylor from the airport to the city. About a week before this function was to take place I was doing photos at a retirement. I was talking to Mr Charlie Simpson -VP for flight operations - and mentioned that I had a new job --"driving the boss around !" He called Mr Taylor over and told him I had something to ask him. This is a social function - and we don't talk business. Mr Taylor ask to "spill" it out. I explained since I was going to be taking pictures at the function in the city the day he was speaking that I would drive him from Toronto airport to the city. Mr Taylor thought that was a good idea and I was to meet the flight. I tried to explain that the President doesn't ride in a VW Rabbit diesel that sounds like a truck and smells like a truck. I was told MEET THE FLIGHT - then Mr Taylor explained that he could get away after his presentation as I had to be back at the airport. I will never have a never passenger. He will be missed ay all
