This is a video of my 18th month old eating her breakfast and chimming to a very special song!! "Build me up Buttercup " which I grew up listening to. Youd think she knew the words and meaning to this song . A legacy carries on!!!!!

I met clem in march 1992 a few months after my husband Colin had died aged 42 - I lived in olney and we chatted in the wine bar one lunchtime - and his fun and bright spirit and excellent talent for entertaining brought olney alive - every week I would go with friends to listen and join in the singing with him and his musical friends - and of course dancing --had it not been for his warm welcome as you walked in those evenings and the fun we all had sometimes till two a m in the morning I would not have got through the loss of my husband as well as I did as it.was something to look forward to each week- Clem made everyone laugh as his wit was sharp and he s then laugh himself loudly . Thank you clem for your warmth and great entertaining skill and - I loved his songs from when I was a teenager- olney will have your lovely spirit missing . I last saw you in the swan at the beginning of the year - little did I know as we had a chat that that would be the last time . Rest in peace Clem - you won't be forgotten . Jane ( Ludgate/Hely)

Really going to miss you dear friend. Never saw you without a smile on your face , withmalice in your heart or having an issue with anybody. You lit up the room whenever you walked in. You were always proud of your children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. I'm going to miss those stories and pictures of new babies. Things won't be the same without you. I'll take on all of the advice you gave to me, even think about singing on ships . Rest in peace, dear friend. I've been blessed the 12 years I've known you. Patiently I'll see you in heaven one sweet day!
My deepest condolences to Clem's family and friends.

Always in my thoughts as he was the best entertainer I have seen, fabulous an all rounder with a tremendous vocal range. He lifted my up when I was grieving for the loss of my son. So sad to hear of his passing. My thoughts are with his family and friends.

I have fond memories of seeing Clem perform at various venues including Harben House, Olney Wine Bar & The Stabes. It was my pleasure to help arrange his gig in Paphos, Cyprus in 2009. A class act has left the stage of life.
