MANGES Clinton Manges, 87, passed away on Thursday, September 23, 2010 in San Antonio, Texas. He was born on August 22, 1923 in Cement, Oklahoma but was raised in Port Aransas where he attended high school and worked as a shrimper. They were married in 1946 and continued to live in the valley before moving to San Antonio in 1966. His interests in real estate, ranching and the oil business finally led them to Freer, Texas where they lived for 39 years. Clinton loved to hunt, fish and travel and was passionate about football and politics. In his later years, he cherished the time he spent with his family and friends. Clinton is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 64 years, Ruth. They were blessed with four children: Barbie Cole and her husband, Al, of San Antonio, Texas, Clint Manges of Freer Texas, Ruthie Herfort and her husband, Mark, of Richmond, Texas, and MaLou Manges of San Antonio, Texas.
