Clinton Thomas Smithweck, 80, passed away Sunday, October 12, 2014. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at 2pm at First Presbyterian Church of Marietta. Inurnment will be at Kennesaw Memorial Park.
Tommy was a native of Marietta, GA. He graduated from Marietta High School in 1952 and later graduated from Massey Law School.
He had a wonderful career at Lockheed, was a devoted UGA bulldog fan, avid fisherman, and loved being an active part of the First Presbyterian Church of Marietta, GA where he had been a member for almost 70 years serving as a deacon, elder, and session officer. Tommy attended services as a tentholder for the past 60 years at Marietta Campmeeting where he was active on several committees and served on the Board of Directors.
Most of All Tommy was a devoted loving husband, Father, and Grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 59 years Marie Barfield Smithweck; Children, Jenny Aaronson (Kim), Tom Smithweck (Pam), and Anna Wolfe (Derek); mother-in-law, Mrs. Emma Belle Barfield; and aunt, Miss Martha Lou Smithweck. He also has three grandchildren, Collin Asher Aaronson, Walker Thomas Smithweck, and Ally Marie Smithweck.
Blessed with sharp wit, dry sense of humor, charitable heart, and an ever present smile, Tommy will be missed by all.
