ROUSE Dr. Clyde C. Rouse, Jr.- a native and current resident of Mobile, Alabama, born on January 28, 1952, died on Tuesday, June 2, 2009. He was a graduate of University Military School, the University of Virginia and the University Of South Alabama College Of Medicine. He completed his residency in psychiatry at the National Naval Medical Center, Bethesda, Maryland. He served in the United States Navy Medical Corps. and retired as a Lieutenant Commander in 1985. He then served as the Clinical Director and Associate Medical Director at Chicago Read Mental Health Center, Chicago, Illinois until 1997. He returned to Fairhope, Alabama in 1997 and served as the Medical Director of the Baldwin County Mental Health Center and engaged in the private practice of Psychiatry in Mobile and Baldwin Counties. He was preceded in death by his father, Dr. Clyde C. Rouse and his brother, James Herndon Rouse. He is survived by this mother, Lucy Herndon Horst Rouse, his sister, Lucy Herndon Rouse, his brother, Robert Hudson (Beth) Rouse, his nieces, Mary Hunter (Evan) Strange, Elizabeth Bestor Rouse and Leslie Hudson Rouse, and his nephews, James Herndon Rouse, Jr. and Thomas Gaines St. John Rouse. Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2009 from 11:00 a.m. until 12 Noon, followed by the funeral service at Christ Church Cathedral. Burial will be at Pine Crest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Christ Church Cathedral, 115 S. Conception Street, Mobile, Alabama. 36602.
