Colleen Fitzgerald Obituary
Colleen was born in Minneapolis on May 1, 1926, to Ruth and William Gallagher.
In 1942, she married John E. Libby. They had two children, John "Jack" Libby (Reggie) And Kathleen Libby Loughrea (Bob).
In 1969, she married William "Bill" Fitzgerald, who brought six children into her life. Colleen embraced them as her own. Dan Fitzgerald (Patti), Karen Shimek, Mary Schoenberger (Rick), William "Bill" Fitzgerald (deceased), Jill Kushner and Scott Fitzgerald (Sandy).
She was a beloved mother to eight, grandmother to 16, and great-grandmother to 16. Colleen will be remembered for her deep love for family, her grace, and strength through life's many chapters.
A memorial service will be held at St. Odilia's Catholic Church, on Friday, September 12th. Visitation at 12:00, service at 1:00, 3495 Victoria St. N., Shoreview. A private burial will be held at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
