STEWARTSVILLE, Mo. - Connie Jane Russell, Stewartsville, daughter of Evan Powell and Vivian (Perkins) Hendrix, was born March 9, 1942, in Los Angeles, Calif.; and passed away July 17, 2007, in Carriage Square Healthcare Center, St. Joseph, at the age of 65 years.
She and Forrest Russell were united in marriage June 25, 1960, in Tucson, Ariz.; and to this union four children were born. They lived in Los Angeles for 10 years before moving to Stewartsville, where they have made their home for the last 37 years.
Connie worked as a secretary in a doctor and chiropractor's office for many years, and was a member of the Maple Grove R.L.D.S. Church.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Vivian (Perkins) Hendrix; a son, Scott A. Russell; and a grandson, Ryan Taftmoyer.
Survivors include her husband, Forrest Russell of Stewartsville; her father, Evan Powell of Hayward, Calif.; a son, Steve Russell of St. Joseph; two daughters, Tammy Russell of Sunrise Beach, Mo.; and Cathy Baltzell of Sunrise Beach; a sister, Jeannie Dunlap of Cave Junction, Ore.; three grandchildren, Felicia and Wyatt Baltzell, and Brandon Russell; and a great-granddaughter.
The service will be 10 a.m. Friday, July 20, at Bram-Summerfield Funeral Home in Stewartsville, with burial following in Maple Grove Cemetery, Stewartsville. Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
