Dear Sheila, Kevin and Corey,
Our deepest condolences in the passing of Connor. We too remember him as a very pleasant, smart young man, always ready to lend a helping hand. He was so admired by my sister, Marilyn, who lived next door. He was always ready to give her a helping hand. She loved spending time and talking with him; they always had such great conversations, she would tell me.
May he rest in peace.
May God hold you in his arms and comfort you at this most difficult time.

I ran cross country and track with Connor my freshman year at ACPHS. I can remember many conversations we had during long runs. He was very intelligent and insightful and never failed to get me to think. Anytime Connor saw me on campus he would stop and ask how I was doing. It was truly a pleasure to know such a genuine, caring, and driven man. I am glad I had the chance to meet him. I will miss Connor very much. I extend my deepest sympathies to all of Connor's family, friends, and loved ones during this tragic time. I will be praying for you all to heal from his passing.
Rest in peace Connor

Connor was the first classmate to introduce himself and welcome me to ACPHS when I started during the P1 year. His kindness meant so much to me during a difficult transition. Like so many others, I will always cherish the meaningful conversations we had when I encountered him on campus. He was truly one of a kind and he will be missed. My sincerest condolences to Connors family.

I consider it an absolute privilege to have been one of Connor's friends. I cherish every memory I had with him: from having deep, thought-provoking conversations over breakfast in our first year at ACPHS to sitting next to him at our graduation and everything in between. He was an incredibly intelligent, friendly, and caring individual who had such a positive impact on my life and all those who were blessed to have spent time with him. My thoughts and prayers are with the Callaghan family during this difficult time.

Dear Callaghan Family -- My thoughts and prayers are with you at this very sad and painful time. Connor studied for the past few years in the lounge outside my office at ACPHS and we'd briefly chat a few times a week. He was a thoughtful young man who always showed interest in whatever I was rushing to do for the day. My deepest sympathy at the loss of your dear son.

To family and friends,
So saddened by this news. I had the honor and privilege to meet with and spend the day with Connor as he began his time at the College. At his first College function he was awarded the top scholarship and we played a round of golf together. Poor Conner, he got stuck with me as a partner. But true to form, while I was trying to make him feel comfortable in his new surroundings, it was his actions that put me at ease - despite the golf. From that first day, and into the years ahead, he always demonstrated such politeness, courtesy and respect, with me, and with the other members of the ACPHS community. He was the type of kid we as parents want to see in our own children. Please know that there are many many people with many many Connor stories. Each reflects the kindness and love he offered. We pray that these stories will help to lighten the burden we feel today and remind us of our own ability to love in the future.
Prayers and support for all of you,

To the Callaghan Family;
My deepest of condolences during this extremely difficult time.
I met Connor through his fraternity where he was a brother of my actual brother, Nick Fontanella. He was always very welcoming, caring and concerned how everyone was. He visited my lake house in Warrensburg, NY with my family and my late-mother, Marilyn. They hit it off instantly and loved one another. My wishes are that they are living in the lord's home.
If either of you need anything, please don't hesitate to reach out.
Peace be to God and also with you.

I met Connor during his freshman year at ACPHS, as he was a friend of my daughter (Christina), a fellow classmate. I vivdly recall when Connor would come to the house for dinner or during Facetime phone calls to my daughter and friends at South Hall that Connor enjoyed interacting with our cats... he renamed one of them (FiFi) as Feifmeister, and always wanted a status report on how Feifmeister was doing. Such fun. I later had the privilege of getting to know Connor on a professional level as I am a faculty member at ACPHS, and I direct the Experiential Education portion of the curriculum, and worked closely with Connor during his final year of the program. Connor wrote reflections during the final year for each experience he completed, and his writings were utterly and profoundly moving. He frequently wrote about human suffering and how he was inspired to work harder to alleviate human suffering. The final statement of Connor's reflection for Module H (last rotation of the program) follows: a quote by Thomas Paine...The world is my country. All mankind are my brethren, and my religion is to do good. Connor certainly did "do good" for all of us who were lucky enough to interact with him. God Bless Connor and family.

Connor was one of the most profound, compassionate, and knowledgeable individuals to have graced this world, now and thru all points in time. Our conversations about the most varied topics have always stayed me as they reflected a mind and soul overflowing with wisdom and faith that transcended boundaries. Your naturally unique balance of selflessness, pure inner goodness, and intellect will forever be an inspiration - there are truly not enough words to convey how much poorer humanity is without you.
May your memory continue to give us the courage to be our best selves and sincerest condolences to your family and anyone who was fortunate enough to know you. Rest in peace.

In a class of over 200, it can be hard for a student to stand out. Connor managed to do just that with his unfailing smile and engaging personality - even at an 8:00 a.m. lecture in organic chemistry! Today I remember Connor with sadness but also with great fondness.

My favorite memories of Connor are from when I'd ride the sports bus home from soccer practice with him in middle school. It was then that I first got a glimpse at his personality and sense of humor. I just remember very clearly the way he would smile when he was making a joke or challenging me in a friendly argument.
He was a polite, intelligent, hard-working person and overall just a really good guy. I'm so sorry to hear of his passing.

I had the privilege of working closely with Connor at the City Mission Clinic in Albany for a few years. He never failed to amaze me with the level of empathy and kindness he displayed to every single person he encountered. There was so much about him that I admired. He was brilliant... to say the least. He was always open to reading the books I would suggest... no matter how dreadful some of them may have been. He was a soul that left an impression on everyone who had the pleasure of interacting with him. I am shattered by his passing and will think of him often. I hope his family, friends, and loved ones can find solace in knowing how many lives Connor has touched. The world was a better place because of him, even in his short time with us. Rest in the sweetest peace, dear Connor.

To the Callaghan family and friends, our deepest condolence. Isaiah 61:3 "to grant to those who mourn in Zion-to give them a beautiful headdress instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the garment of praise instead of a faint spirit; that they may be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the lord, that he may be glorified." We in the flesh may never understand this great tragedy in your life, but he does. It is very hard while grieving, but put it on him. Dear Callaghan Family, the news of Connor's passing is simply heartbreaking. My son knows Connor from High School and ironically my nephew met, got to know and actually became roommates in college. I've had the privilege of working in the writing center and volunteering at the free clinic with Connor. Your son was a gentleman and a scholar of the utmost respect. There was not an ounce of hate in Connor; he was a human filled with compassion for others who made the people around him better. He filled a room with his smile and chuckle. He was ambitious and thoughtful- truly everything a person could aspire to be. He was always sharing a new book with me. I think of Connor golfing, reading, and helping. Your son was a helper in every aspect of his life he was always the first person ready to help others. You raised a fine young man whose passing, I can say on behalf of the ACP student body, has left devastation in all our hearts. May your family find some comfort in all the love Connor has surrounding him forever.

I am so sorry. I will never forget the times I shared with Connor. Even though in school we weren't in the same classes or extra-curricular activities, him and I still shared a lot of similar interests and fully supported each other in everything that we did.
