Constance Blackburn Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 29, 2025.
Constance Anna mae Blackburn (Connie Bunnell), passed away peacefully on July 29, 2025, in Springfield, Oregon, just days before her 89th birthday. Born on August 3, 1936, in North Bend, Oregon, Connie lived a full and vibrant life rooted deeply in the Pacific Northwest.

A proud graduate of Roosevelt High School in North Bend, Connie carried her strong work ethic into a long and dedicated career. She spent many years working for Safeway in North Bend before retiring from Bi-Mart in Ashland, Oregon. Her commitment to her work and community left a lasting impression on those she worked with and served.

Connie's life was rich with interests that brought her joy and fulfillment. She had a deep love for reading-particularly the works of Stephen King-and found beauty and fascination in all things birds. An avid rock hunter and enthusiastic yard sale explorer, she delighted in the simple pleasures of discovery and collecting. As a homemaker, she took pride in baking and cooking for those around her, filling her home with warmth and delicious aromas.

Her musical talents included playing both the piano and accordion, often bringing music into the lives of those close to her. She also enjoyed challenging herself with newspaper crosswords and other pastimes that kept her mind sharp and engaged.

Family was central to Connie's life. She is survived by two sisters, three sons who carry forward her legacy, along with seven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. Her family tree continues to grow with two great-great-grandchildren as well.

Connie was preceded in death by many dear members of her family: her father, mother, brother, two sisters, daughter, granddaughter, and husband. Their memories remained close to her heart throughout her life.

Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her. May her memory bring comfort to those who loved her and inspiration to future generations.
