Constance Minert Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 23, 2025.
Upper Montclair - Constance Drew Minert of Upper Montclair, New Jersey passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 13, 2025 at the age of 77.

Born on January 14, 1948 in Port Chester, NY to David S. Miller and Virginia D. Odell, Drew grew up in Canajoharie, NY and graduated from Vassar College in 1969.

Drew was a proud lifelong civil servant and worked at New York City's Department of City Planning for over 40 years. The City always held a fascination for her and a special place in her heart. Drew regularly walked across the Brooklyn Bridge during her lunch break and she also enjoyed going to the Metropolitan Opera and concerts at Bryant Park.

Drew was a devoted mother and Nana who gave without question and loved without limit. Drew always put her family first and dedicated countless hours to support the many sports and activities of her children. Whether it was figure skating, soccer, hockey or lacrosse, Drew rarely missed a game, practice or performance.

Drew was her children's biggest cheerleader, present on the sidelines with unwavering encouragement and a dedication that not only shaped their childhoods, but also their character. That same joy carried into the next generation, as Drew took great pride in supporting her grandchildren in the same way and being part of them growing up.

Drew also had a love of travel and adventure - discovering new places in Asia, the Middle East, North Africa, Europe and North America - and creating lasting memories with those she loved.

She is survived by her loving children Rebecca, Schuyler and Dylan; five loving grandchildren Henry, Charlie, Ollie, Arden and McKenna; her brother Jeffrey and sister Janice.
