Craig Garvin Obituary
Craig Garvin, beloved husband of Mrs. Emily Garvin of Calgary, passed away on March 16, 2010 at the age of 26 years. Craig will be lovingly remembered by his parents Glenn and Debbie Garvin, his Auntie Pam (Peter), grandmother Gloria Llewellyn, grandparents Lorretta and Terry Garvin, Aunt Cindy (Eric), Uncle Keith (Chris), Uncle Perri (Celeste) and his cousin Alyssa. He will also be remembered by Emily's parents, Anna and Tom Kolman, her Babi, Jirina Kolman, sisters Kristina, Ruth, Lydia (Chris), Karla (Russell), his nephews Reuben and Jonah, his niece Emma-Lee, as well as many more friends and family members too numerous to mention. Craig was predeceased by his grandfather Fred Llewellyn. Craig was born and raised in Calgary. He was a dedicated husband and a treasured son and was deeply cherished by both sides of his family. Craig was a lifelong athlete, enjoying many activities including baseball, hockey, soccer, and running. He was an accomplished scuba diver as well as an instructor and decorated 2nd Dan blackbelt in Tae Kwon Do, including a silver medal in North America for his division. Craig attended school in Calgary and was a graduate of Forest Lawn High school and an alumnus of SAIT Polytechnic. Craig was truly young at heart and had a gift for bringing joy and laughter to the people around him. He was a caring and loyal friend as well as a respected colleague and a mentor to those he worked with. Craig was a devoted husband to his wife Emily for five years. He was honest and steadfast; thoroughly devoting his time to taking care of the people around him, valuing his family and friends above all else. Although his life was cut tragically short, he will live on in the hearts and the memories of the countless people he touched in the time he was with us. "We do not grieve as those who have no hope." Somethings will never change;
Craig will always be our first brother--growing up with 4 sisters it was a pleasure to add Craig to the mix.
April 21, 1983 will always be his birthday and a celebration of his life.
Craig will always be remembered as a loving husband, treasured son/son-in law, cousin, nephew, grandson, uncle, and brother-in-law.
Our deepest sympathies, and condolences to everyone who love Craig. He will be greatly missed by the Kolman family.

It truly feels like yesterday that I first met Craig as a baby and held him in my arms. Not shortly thereafter were we sharing stories of hockey while he grew into the person you knew best. My heart goes out to Craig's family and dear friends following his tragic, unexpected passing. I still see the image of him as a young boy, playing with my little brother Geoff in the front living room of our home. And then I see him as the handsome, polite young man who stood beside my brother at his wedding last summer. Amazing to have been able to watch him grow into the fine man that he was. He will be so dearly missed by so many.
