Craig R Hamlin

On Tuesday, August 29th, 2023, Craig passed away unexpectedly surrounded by his family.

Born in Essex Jct, VT on October 5, 1957, Craig spent his life in Essex Jct, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Winooski, ending back in Essex Jct, where he lived with his wife, Brenda Hamlin of 29 years in the house he built. Craig graduated from Essex High School and went on to becoming a Licensed Master Plumber. Everyone that knew Craig, knew he had a heart of gold and was willing to help anyone in need. With that being said, Craig and Brenda made the decision to become certified foster parents. Over the years, countless children found their way into their home where they built lasting relationships that would carry through into their adulthood. As years passed, they adopted their three grandchildren and great niece.

When Craig was not working, you could find him spending time with his family or friends in which he cherished. He also enjoyed trout fishing, gardening, boating, target practicing, raising animals and going for car rides.

Craig was predeceased by his beloved wife Brenda, on July 20th, 2023, as well as his mother Geneva Hamlin whom he cherished.

Craig leaves behind his father and best friend Edward Hamlin, stepmother, Linda Hamlin. His children Erika Hamlin, Craig Hamlin, Dyllan Hamlin, Emily Hamlin, Zach Hamlin, Ally Hamlin, Rebecca (Joseph Wager), Brian Merchant, Sarah (Matt Havers), Shannon Hamlin, and also raised many others as his own. Ten Grandchildren; Hunter, Gavin, Madison, Brady, Jackson, Xavier, Juliet, Christian, Cameron, Logan, and Avah. His siblings Laurie (Lawrence "Sparky" Lapan), Tommy (Karol) Hamlin, Tammy (Jack Lapan), Richard (Leah) Hamlin, Bekah (Daniel Gwozdz), as well as many nieces, nephews, and numerous long-lasting friendships.

Following Craig's wishes, he has been cremated, and will not have a funeral or graveside services. There will be a celebration of life at a later date.
