The Rev. Cyril Rupert Semple, age 95, went to his heavenly home on August 23, 2018. He was born on 28 July 1923 in Litchfield Village, West Coast Berbice, Guyana, South America to William Semple and Rosa Lewis.

With more than 50 years in ministry Rev. Semple brought the message of God's enduring love and redemptive power to congregations and communities on three continents. In his own words, "It is a life to live" and this was manifested in his service of preaching, teaching, healing and discipling.

Rev. Semple is survived by his wife, Constance Lucille Semple (Georgetown TX); a brother , William Semple (Guyana); nine children, Sylvia Sancho (Guyana), Keith Semple (Seaford UK), Rupert Semple (London UK), Barbara Tyler (Corona, CA), Lorraine Glasgow (Dallas, TX), Hugh Semple (Dallas, TX), Michael Semple (New York, NY), Gillian Semple (London, UK) and Joseph Semple (London, UK); 31 grandchildren, Colin Sancho, Trevor Sancho, Shaun Sancho, Marilyn Innis, Dexter Sancho, Charles Sancho, Fiona Sancho, Emma Avila, Aaron Keller, Zach Keller, Lana Semple, Derry Joseph, Laurent Semple, Georgia Semple, Luis Semple, Levi Semple, Steve Semple, Latoya Semple, Dionne Gray, Tevin Glasgow, Nikki Semple, Kieran Hickey, Christine Semple, Michael Semple, Janay Semple, David Semple, Antony Semple, Esther Silas, Abigail Silas, Makiba Silas, Simone Semple; and numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 7, 2018 from 1pm to 2pm at the Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home Chapel, 2900 Williams Drive, Georgetown, Texas 78628, with a Celebration Service to follow at 2pm. A Reception will follow at Faith Lutheran Church, 4010 Williams Drive, Georgetown, Texas 78628 from 3pm to 4:45pm .

Rev. Cyril Semple will be laid to rest in Litchfield Village Cemetery, West Coast Berbice, Guyana, South America on Friday, September 14, 2018. A funeral service will be held at the Grace Prayer Centre Intl. Church in Litchfield and will commence at 2pm.

Our beloved Uncle Cyril was a wonderful human being. He was passionate about Jesus and committed to his family. He was kind, loving, compassionate, steadfast, hardworking and had an endearing sense of humor. He unapologetically inspired and encouraged people to live for Christ. He lived for Jesus without compromise. His greatest wish was to see his loved ones and all those he encountered accept Jesus as their personal savior. "When we all get to heaven, what a day of rejoicing that will be!"
