DALE BECKER Obituary

Published by Edmonton Journal on Nov. 9, 2012.
BECKER, Dale
It is with a sad and heavy heart that we let family and friends know that Dale Becker passed away peacefully on November 2, 2012 at the age of 62.
Dale is survived by his beloved wife, Pamela, his son Cody, daughter Keltie (Greg), and four beautiful grandchildren Mateo, Pablo, Wylder and Levi, his brother Barry, his sisters Sharon (Bob) and Judy and sister-in-law Nancy. He also leaves many, many other caring family members and close friends. He is predeceased by his brother Keith and both parents.
Dale will be most remembered for his infectious laugh and wonderful sense of humor. There was never a time too solemn for laughter when he was around. It was a gift he shared with all he knew. His spirit is kind and light and gracious. He loved the outdoors and spent many hours hiking and biking with friends and family. He had a special place in his heart for mountains and sunny beaches.
Dale was a meticulous master picture framer with a keen eye for design and colour. He will be missed tremendously by numerous art galleries and his many customers.
There will be a Celebration of Dale's Life on November 17, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the Evergreen Funeral Chapel in the Reception Centre located at: 16204 Fort Road, Northwest Edmonton.
Dale had a kind and generous heart, in lieu of flowers or donations please consider doing something kind for someone you do not know.
Thank you to the nurses at Olds Hospital for their outstanding palliative care, and a special thank you to Dr. Vander Viver for his compassion, and thoughtfulness during Dale's short stay at this facility.

Pam, I justbacame aware of Dale's passing, and I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Dale certainly did have a way of lightening up almost any situation!! He was a pall bearer when my parents were killen, and from what I was told, he had the whole van laughing on the way there and back. I always very much appreciated that! While this entry is very late, please know my thoughts are with you and your family. He was 1 of a kind.

Our condolences to all of Dale's family. He was a unique human being with that special talent of making those around him happy just by being himself. Pam, you are in our thoughts. May the love you and Dale shared continue to warm and comfort you forever.

Chanting "Chips...Chocolate...and Ooey Gooey candy" together over and over again until Aunty Pam finally gave in and took me to the candy store to get our cavity feast! The "oh my gosh Uncle Dale just took off his thumb" trick which I was thrilled he was able to show my kids. Those are my two most memorable times of many with Uncle Dale. You were taken too soon and you will be deeply missed. We love you and will miss you forever.

Pam,

We were so sorry to hear of Dale's passing. He was one of the " good guys", down to earth, hard working, cared for his friends and family. I will always have fond memories of the great hiking trips we did with the gang. He always made our boys laugh.

Pam, I am deeply sorry for your loss. Dale was a wonderful person. The first time I met you both, we bonded instantly. I always enjoyed going to visit your neighbors, Mauro and Jackie, and both of you coming over for a drink or two. May gentle memories of Dale, eventually bring you peace and kindness. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this most sorrowful time. Love Patti

Pam has lost an adoring soul mate.
Coty and Keltie have lost a loving parent.
His grandchildren have lost an adoring elder.
Our family has lost one of its most precious members.
His friends have lost a genuine comrade.
The world has lost a one-of-a-kind spirit.
We are all a bit lesser without Dale yet better for having him a part of our lives.

RIP Uncle Dale. If God had given him an extra minute of life for every-time he made someone laugh, he would have out lived all of us...he will be so sadly missed but so fondly remembered.
