Rev. Mucci also was the inspirational debating coach at Lincoln-Way High School in New Lenox, Illinois in 1960-62. He expected excellence from his debate team members and taught us how to achieve that goal. I remember him with all respect, and thank him for devoting time to all of us.

I am so very sorry for your loss Sandy. I enjoyed the time we spent together in women's group after realizing I bought your son John's ( Lynn) house in Bethel. Remember to hold close all that we learned in Bible Study. I know you are a strong woman of faith and I admire that. Prayers at this difficult time. God bless, Heidi Peters.

I was in Haiti when I received the news of Dallas going to heaven. I have a photo I took of him on the otherside of the Island in The Dominican Republic in January 2000. It was a Pastors Work and Witness Trip. That is the kind of District Superintendent he was. He was with his pastors and was not afraid of getting his hands dirty working for Jesus!

He set an example in love, faith and service to Christ.

I remember when he called me to consider coming to Bay Shore in 1984. I remember him guiding me through the death of my brother, praying for me and organizing churches.

I remember times when he and Sandy visited our home. My kids called them Grandpa and Grandma Mucci.

I remember serving on boards with him, being at District Assemblies and General Assemblies.

I remember when one of our Spanish Pastor and wife lost their 9 day old child. Dr. Mucci and I spent the day making funeral arrangements, praying with them and caring for them. Even though it was in the middle of the night when this little baby died. When I called him in Mount Vernon he said, Tell me if I need to come now and I will drive down.

I was with him on a number of occasions when he visited retired pastors and their wives.

He was a church planter. When we were beginning a Spanish Church on the eastend of Long Island I rode with him and attended a service where he preached. I was with him in Mount Vernon as we started the Brazilian Church. We also worked on reaching out to the Asian population on Long Island. He reached out to everyone.

I loved to get his perspective on things. What wisdom he had. I loved his gentle toughness. He always challenged me to be my best.

I join in prayer with many others for Sandy and the whole family. I pray that God will comfort your hearts.

Dallas was a man of God who the Lord used in a mighty way to grow the Kingdom of God. He impacted countless lives and ministries including mine. There will always be a special place in my heart for him.

Sandy, we love you and are praying for you.

With Much Love,
Joe & June Santucci

We first met Dal at the first church planter's assessment in 1996. When he asked our group why we chose to plant churches in the order we did, inner city last, we offered a weak excuse based on our suppositions. That is when we learned of the passion Dr. Mucci had for "the least of these" and for all other people, for that matter. I never forgot that exchange and when I mentioned it several years later when we were both on the Pittsburgh District, he just smiled wryly and said he remembered. Such a godly person. He had many dreams and longed to see all cone to Christ. He will be missed. J Bret and Terri Metcalfe
