The twinkle in Dan's eyes will be missed! I have such warm memories growing up; Christmas Eve's spent at the Beecher's house; summer afternoons playing basketball in the driveway; and lots of joking about who actually won and how!!

Molly and I were not very old when Grandma Heniken passed away - Danny and Matt knew how sad we were and how worried we were about Grandma's little wild kitten that she had been setting food out for - Matt and Danny spent hours trying to catch the kitten, and wouldn't come home until they were finally able to corner and catch the kitten and bring it home to Portland so we could take care of it!

Thank you Mom and Dad for being there for Danny and showing the true meaning of family always - I know Danny loved you both!!

Dan was my "adopted" brother. He always brought humor to our family gatherings over the years. Such a nice guy....we will miss him.

At peace.

I first met Dan when I worked at Ernie's Thriftway. It was evident that he was the class clown. I got to know him with the makeup off and discovered quite a warm, helpful, kind man. He accepted his difficulties with grace and never complained. He became a member of my family for the last 35 years. He even referred to my mother as Adopted Mom. A title she delighted in.

I have been visiting him the last few years at Autumn Hills and seen a slow decline. The folks at Autumn Hills did a fantastic job taking care of not only his physical needs but his emotional needs as well. A big thanks to them.
Thanks also to his Uncle Charlie and Aunt Kathryn who took over his care. Such wonderful people. Just like Dan.

Well Dan, I guess there won't be any more presents wrapped in comic paper coming from you but I'm happy that you are at peace. You're the best!

PEACE AT LAST

Dan, my dear friend. You were always there when I needed help, and always ready to play a trick on someone, just grateful when it wasn't me. I agree with Doug and Larry, we had some great times at Ernies, worked hard and played hard. You will be missed!

I worked with Dan in Circuit Court. He had a great sense of humor. I will always remember him wearing a grass hula skirt and OSU colors.

So sorry to hear about the loss of Dan, he was an all around great guy. We played many practical jokes on one another but he was a hard one to top. He had such a great imagination. I have really missed his friendship and great sense of humor these last couple of years. It was never the same after Dan left Washington County. We will never forget our friend Dan.

I had the pleasure of working with Dan for many years at the WC Courthouse, where his combined intelligence and sense of humor made each day very, very "interesting." I wish him peace.

I had the good fortune of meeting Dan and working with him for several years in the grocery business, whether it was Ernies or Thriftee Thriftway. I had a great time joking with him and his family DanII,Barbara, and Matt who all preceeded him in death. We had a fun time playing golf, bowling with the gang from work or playing broom hockey in the backroom of Ernies. Sorry Ernie for the broken brooms. Dan,you be greatly missed.

Dan was my adopted bro as I told everyone. We always had fun together, golfing, squirt gun fights and of course old man softball. Practical jokes were the specialty however even back when we worked at Ernie's Thriftway. I miss you Dan.

I have known Dan for over 30 years, his smile brightened our Holidays as he shared Christmas Eve with us for so many years bearing wonderfully funny gifts and humor to everyone.
