Hi Buddy,
I think of you often. You'll never be forgotten. You were a guiding light when you were alive, and now you are truly the light. Thanks for the memories. All good. Miss seeing you at the Beckmanns.

Dear old Buddy,
Honoring your legacy, as we approach the one year anniversary of when you got to go to your final destination!:) What can I say that hasn't already been said of you? You truly were "one of a kind" a real "man's man" Strong and kind, Witty and amusing; yet, always Steadfast in your beliefs. But what stood out most in your character, was how much you genuinely loved Linda and those boys. The sacrifices you made for them, spoke volumes of your true spirit.
Our first encounter with you and your family was back in 2000, I believe. Jansen and Austin were enrolled at FBCS with Morganne. I got to be great friends with you and Linda and spent time visiting with yall in that beautiful house on Smith Reed rd. I was saddened to see yall move to TX. But, even though we plan, God directs our steps. Unfortunately, we haven't seen you since you fell ill. But we also, haven't forgotten you, Linda and your family!!! Love & miss you Linda xoxo❤ Janell (nelly)
A Christmas Greeting From Buddy!

Buddy would stop in San Francisco going to and coming from Samoa. The first time he was trying to find me in Berkeley, navigating the BART system when he ran into a friendly stranger who told him he was on his way to Berkeley as well. Only to figure out eventually they were both on there way to see me! My boyfriend Bruce (at the time) and Buddy hung out for the next few days playing tennis and exploring the city while I was at worksweet memories!
I want to share this treasured A Christmas Message with all who loved him. - a handwritten poem Buddy sent to me in 1979.

- Remember Buddy? Yes, I sure do.
- I remember Buddy, a good man. A happy man. A real man.
- I remember Buddy, strong and friendly.
- I remember Buddy, soft spoken but not soft at all.
- I remember Buddy, his full red/blonde beard and round happy face. A true Viking spirit, only gentler.
- I remember Buddy, his beautiful & contagious smile. Sometimes left me curious to know what he was thinking at that particular moment in time. Good? Sinister? Or both?
- I will always remember Buddy. And when I do, I smile and see his face smiling back.
- I thank Buddy for the good times and memories he gave us all.
- I wish Buddy eternal peace.
- I will miss you Buddy.
- Remember Buddy? Yes, I sure do...

Buddy, where do I begin my friend. We go back to junior high school. The things we've done together through the years have been epic. Your friendship has lasted through the miles, be it Samoa, Africa, California, Louisiana, or Texas. We have always stayed in touch. It meant the world to me that I saw you whenever you were in town to see your family. You were a part of my family and are deeply missed. Your thoughtfulness, kindness, and generosity in everything you did defined you as a man. You never ceased to amaze us with a new talent, like giving us hanging tables that you macraméd. Your love for Linda and family was there for the world to see. God speed my friend. Look down kindly on us from heaven.

Buddy it has been a privilege and pleasure to have a great man such as yourself consider me a friend and a member of your family. You have touched so many people in your short time here and took a little piece of us all when God called you home. I can not imagine what my life would be like today without you having been a part of it. You will always be my friend, my brother, and an inspiration to me on how a real man should treat those around him. I love you and miss you. Godspeed Brother until we meet again.

It has taken me a while to put together the words to say, and till this day, there are still no words to describe what you taught me Uncle Bud. I don't often say much but I feel very deeply, and having the privilege to call you family will forever have an imprint on my heart! You believed in me and that's my motivation to succeed beyond anyone's expectation. You showed me that true love is possible by loving my Aunt Linda so deeply and Earnestly! You were the most Humble caring person who esteemed everyone more than yourself and in the eyes of Christ this is what mattered most. I will never forget you!! I will Always remember your dignity and Strength! ...And the fact that all you wanted was Jesus himself to bring you home and there's no doubt that he did just that!

It is with great sadness that I heard of my dear old friend and former neighbor passing. Buddy you were an awesome person and I feel very priviledged to have know you. You always allowed my three wild ones (Ledie, Lisa and Hagen) run through your house like they owned it and just laugh. My dearest Buddy, I will remember you always. Linda if there is anything I can do please let me know.

Linda,
So sorry to learn from Steve yesterday of Buddy's passing. My deepest sympathy to you and the family. It was such a privlidge to have met and worked with Buddy at Martech so many years ago. He was such an inspiration to all that came in contact with him; his big heart, kind words, and that forever smile always inspired us to do better than we ever thought possible. Buddy, you will be greatly missed and forever remembered--the perfect gentleman, rest in peace my friend!

To have not only known such a remarkable man, but to be able to call him family has been a privilege that I do not take for granted. My Uncle Bud demonstrated the true meaning of the importance of family. He never failed to show love to anyone who showed up on his doorstep and he never let you leave without telling you how much you meant to him. Even in his last days he truly demonstrated the grace of God, always putting others before himself. How can you not be drawn to love a person like that. He taught me so much in his last days and I will forever be grateful for the words of wisdom he shared with me. To watch my son grow up and love you the way I did just reminded me how genuine your love was for your family. Koen and I will forever miss you Uncle Bud. Rejoice with your Heavenly Father now!
Love, Felecia and Koen

Buddy stood out as a Gentleman amidst a very tough crowd. I always loved to be on a job with him because he was down to earth, easy to get along with and knew what he was up to. He smiled easily and I never heard an angry word from him. May he rest in Peace.

It is amazing to read all the kind words about my uncle buddy! It makes me feel extremely proud and happy to be able to celebrate all the highlights in people's lives that my amazing uncle had a part in. I am crushed that he is no longer physically with us... But I just keep reminding myself that he gets to be with his dad and his brother (my dad). So glad I have such amazing angels watching over me and my family!

We were Blessed to have Buddy as part of our family. GOD Truly Blessed my sister when He sent Buddy to her for her Husband. Buddy was the most unselfish man that I knew. Even on His dying bed,He was concerned about everyone else. He loved us all, no matter what our faults were. He always seen the best in everyone. He seen everyone through the eyes of JESUS, something that we all could have learned from him. Family was very important to him.He spoke to all of us about that importance. He will be Sadly Missed by all who knew him. GOD have big plans for him now that he is home, where he wanted to be.We will see each other again where we will Rejoice in our Mansions in Heaven with our Father GOD.
Love your sister-in-law, Patsy.

My grandfather was one of the greatest people I've ever known. I looked up to him for a lot of reasons. He taught me right from wrong, taught me the importance of working hard for whatever you want in life. He taught me that nothing in life is handed to you, but more importantly he instilled in me the importance of family. You will be missed Papa. I just wish you'd be here to see your grandsons grow up to be successful men in life, but I know you'll be watching over us from above. I'll be living twice as much you Papa and I'll honor your last wishes. Love you. Rest well in the heavens.

Growing up in Massapequa in the 1960's, we all believed we were indestructible. And if any of us were, it had to be Buddy. He was the best pure athlete I have ever known - fast, strong, clutch - whether it was Little League baseball, OLL football or any sport at Berner HS, you came to watch Buddy. More importantly, he was just one of the guys, something he no doubt learned from his mom and dad, who we all knew and looked up to. I have not seen Buddy since our early days of college, but after catching up over the years with close friends, I would always ask, " has anyone heard from Buddy, How is he doing? What is he up to?" Goodbye, my friend and comfort and peace to your family and all who loved and admired you.
