Daniel McNicol Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Dec. 4 to Dec. 6, 2009.
McNICOL, Daniel Frederick April 24, 1979 - November 28, 2009 On Saturday night our beloved Daniel died in his sleep and our world was shattered. His tapping and whistling will not be heard again and we ache with longing for the sound. Survived by the love of his life, Ashley Salzl, his parents Brenda and Dr. Keith McNicol, his sisters, Dawn Ings and Lisa McNicol, his grandparents, Sheila Halldorson and Loyd and Lilla McNicol, his nephew, Miguel McNicol, his uncle Bradly Halldorson, his aunts Lori McNicol and Sheila McLaughlin, their spouses and children and his many, many friends. Predeceased by his grandfather, Clarence Halldorson. Daniel grew up in Spruce Grove, Alberta a place that he loved. He loved a lot of things actually like his girl and his mamma and his darling Miguel. He loved to sing and to dance, to work and to create. He was utterly devoted to his sisters, his friends and his coworkers. He was funny and hardworking, loyal and loving. He was the life of every party. He was The Absolute Best! With every breath we take, we miss him. A gathering to honour and remember Daniel will take place on Monday, December 7th at the Immanuel Lutheran Church of Rosenthal, Township Road 524 and Range Road 13, Stony Plain AB at 3:00 p.m. (Maps can be found at www4.incentre.net/immanuel ) Reception to follow at the Elks Hall in Spruce Grove. Having you around at Millgrove really made it a much funner place to be. I'll never forget your Halloween party in elementary, first one I went to with girls attending. Thanks for the memories Dan, they are all good.

Dan was like a son to me when he and Dana were teenagers. Where she was, he was. He was a gentle, kind, young man with many talents. I can't imagine your pain and will pray for your strength throught this time of grief.
