Danielle, my special child. Not a day passes without thoughts of you. Wondering who you'd be today, more kids, your dream job, watching you be the mother Sami deserves. I know you check up on us often. Please watch over me, hold my hand as I fight cancer. There was a time I'd gladly give my life in exchange for you to live. As sick as I've been over the years, and now I have cancer that may well take me home to you and death is scary for me, today I thought what we'd say, do, cry or laugh. I am so proud and honored to have been your mom, you were and still are my best teacher. I love you.
We should meet in another life. We should meet in the air. ME AND YOU ~sylva plath ♡☆♡☆

In My Pocket
I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.
My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.
They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.
Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.
But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

Even though I was not friends with Danielle, I do remember her from Novato High School. She was always smiling and happy. I know that she was a wonderful mother. Rest in Peace Danielle, and God Bless Claudia and Sami.

Danielle and I were friends in Middle School. We had a lot of fun laughing and just being kids. I still have a photo in my scrapbook of us dancing with electric toothbrushes, wearing princess hats and pantyhose on our heads. She was great fun! I regret having lost touch with her after moving away. Keep your chins up...you know she'd want you to.

Dear Danielle and Claudia. I am so sad to hear that our beautiful Danielle has been taken from us as such a young age. A beautiful light has been snuffed long before it had a chance to show its brilliance. May God bring peace to her family. Love

Dear Danielle and Claudia - I only had the opportunity to meet you, Danielle, once but I saw your beautiful daughter a few times when she was being cared for by Claudia. She is a wonderful child and so well cared for. I know what a terrific mom you were to her. God be with you and your lovely mom. Rest assured that Sami will be loved and cared for by your loving mom.

Danielle,
I'm so sorry to hear about you. You were a great friend in HS, and I'm sorry we lost touch over the years. I laughed at some great pictures the other day from the good ole' NHS days.
You will be missed. Samantha is so beautiful...rest in peace.

I'm so saddened by my beautiful friends death. This has inspired me to become an activist and try to stop this from happening to other women like Danielle. We need to protect innocent families from senseless acts of violence. I feel very blessed to have happy funny memories that will stay with me for a lifetime.

On behalf of myself and Daniell's family I thank you for all the kind words, cards, flowers and support from the people of Novato and many other places. Danielle took motherhood as her main mission in life. All that knew her and Sami saw the love. For the past 7 months They were living with me, and it will forever be in my heart and memories. May we do everything in our powers to fight for more support and safety for every woman or man. Again, THANKS to each and everyone of you, it has helped our family feel the love....CLAUDIA & FAMILY

Claudia,
I cannot imagine the words that may comfort you during this tragic time. I went to high school with Dani and recently connected with her a couple of years ago. She was always so friendly and spirited. She was taken much to soon from you and her loved ones and I am truly sorry. I hope you fall on the community who adored Dani to support you through this unimaginably painful time.
All my love..

Grief,
like the ocean,
comes in waves,
only to recede and come yet again,
but with it comes healing.
Memories was ashore
and are bathed by the golden sun.
Grab hold of those memories
and let them fill the emptiness.

Claudia,
My thoughts are with you and I am sending your family all my love. I was Dani's friend from high school and she was always so sincere and true. I remember her love for country music, driving to the beach every chance we could get, singing and laughing the whole way there. Her bouncy and bubbly attitude is what I remember most about her. I wish I could have seen her as a mommy she had so much love and generousity to give. She is greatly missed. Thank you for giving me the time that I did have with her as her friend.
Love,
Heather

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.
