Danny Lee "Dan" Davis

Danny Lee Davis, 60 of Battle Creek died at Henry Ford Hospital in Jackson, Michigan on Monday, July 25, 2022. He also liked to be called Dan. Danny was born July 13, 1962 in Battle Creek, Michigan the son of Wayne Floyd and Beatrice Lorraine (Russell) Davis. He grew up on the family farm in Lacey and was a 1980 graduate of Hastings High School. Danny was employed for 30 years in auto parts and sales. He began his career with Battle Creek Motor Parts, which became Hill Piston Auto Stores and then Auto Value Battle Creek. He primarily worked at the Grove Street and 20th Street locations, prior to his retirement. Danny is survived by a sister, Elaine Collins of Perkins, GA; three brothers, Duane (Sue) Davis of Danville, VA; Ronald Davis of Springfield, MI; Timothy Davis of Columbus, OH; as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and their families. Danny was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister-in-law, Kay Asher Davis. Danny was independent and enjoyed spending time at the family farm, going on picnics and enjoying the outdoors. He enjoyed grilling-out at home and watching sports - especially the Detroit teams: the Lions, Tigers, Pistons, and Red Wings. Danny will be remembered as an avid softball player in his younger years – he had the 1985 Western League Championship plaque proudly displayed in his living room. He will also be remembered as an avid follower and supporter of Love Worth Finding with Adrian Rogers. Family will receive friends Saturday, September 24th from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with a service starting at 11:00 a.m. at Pleasantview Family Church, 2601 Lacey Road, Dowling, MI 49050 with Pastor Steven S.
