DANNY RAND UDELL

Danny Rand Udell, 71, passed away peacefully May 18th 2015, at his home, in Modesto, Ca. He was born July 1st 1943, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He  moved to Stanislaus County in 1946. He lived in the Modesto area for the  remainder of his years. Dan was preceded in death by his parents, Marion Jesse  Udell and Mary Jane Udell, brothers Billy Erwin Udell, Jimmy Nolan Udell, sister  Linda Sue Lowe and his oldest son, Daniel Raymond Udell. Dan is survived by his  high school sweetheart, and the love of his life, Phyllis Anita Udell, and his  youngest son, Douglas Randall Udell, and his two daughters-in-law, Melanie Udell,  and Kalleen Udell. Dan and Phyllis were married for 53 wonderful years. in 1960  Dan joined the U.S. Navy. He proudly served in Vietnam. Dan spent a total of ten  years in the service. After he was honorably discharged in 1970, he worked as an  electronic technician for 45 years, spending 32 of them at Montgomery Wards.  Dan was a member of the American Legion post 74. He enjoyed fishing, golfing,  reading, on line poker, and most of all his family. Dan was always willing to help with  friends and family when asked. He enjoyed camping with his second family of  the Old Fishermen's Camper Club. He attended Shelter Cove Church. 
Arrangements handled by Eaton Family Funeral Service. A Celebration of Life will be  held at the Old Fishermen's Club, 10800 Maze Blvd., Wed., May 27, at 11:30am Potluck. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to your favorite charity in his  honor.
