SHREVEPORT, LA - "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Philippians 4:13 (NKJV)
A memorial service for Daryl "Mercury" L. Moore will be held on Tuesday, June 8, 2010 from 7:30 PM until 8:30 PM at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church, located at 6971 West 70th Street in Shreveport, LA 71129.
Daryl was born December 11, 1972 in Baltimore, Maryland and later resided in Shreveport, Louisiana where he attended schools in Caddo Parish and graduated with honors from Huntington High School in 1990. He continued his education at LSU-Shreveport and later moved to California, working as a marketing representative for Kimberly-Clark Corporation. His life's journey brought him back to Shreveport. A former Assistant Manager at Walgreen's, Daryl was an Assistant Manager at Radio Shack at the time of his death. His love for music enabled him to share his passion with many listeners both nationally and internationally. Many will remember him as DJ Mercury.
Daryl was called home to be with the Lord on June 4, 2010, preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Hazel Edwards; his paternal grandfather, Louis Moore. Cherishing his memory is his mother, Rosiland Edwards (Shreveport, LA); father, Timothy P. Moore (Baltimore, MD); sister, Crystal I. Leach (Shreveport, LA); paternal grandmother, Maggie Moore (Baltimore, MD), and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 12, 2010 at 9:00 AM at March West Funeral Home located at 4300 Wabash Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21215.
Interment will be at King Memorial Park, Millford Mill Park, MD.

I am deeply saddened by your lose. My heart, thoughts and prayers goes out to the family. Daryl touched and changed my life forever. For this, I am truly greatful. Daryl was a kind, gentle and very talented soul. May he now rest in God's heaven. I have been informed that the family may be trying to reach me. Contact info attached.

I am deeply saddened that Daryl left us so soon. It was an honor knowing him and graduating with him. I felt even honored to say goodbye to him at his service in Baltimore before he was laid to rest. May God continue to provide the family with comfort and peace. Rosalind you will be in my prayers.

Daryl and I attended Oak Park Elementary school together. We were in the cub scouts together. We graduated from Huntington together. I am saddened to hear of his passing. I remember him as a gentle guy; full of life and a loyal friend! May God Bless those family and friends he left behind for DJ Mercury is spinning tunes in heaven. We will meet again, one day....

Rosiland, what moves through you is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch. Its difficult to understand why Daryl left this earth so soon, or why he left before you were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, you will begin to remember not that he died, but that he lived.
