David loved people and even the unlovable. I heard it said at his funeral that David made a vow to God to say nothing bad or evil against anyone. This could only be accomplished by God’s Spirit living inside of David. I know that His desire like Christ was to be a model of God’s love for others.

My deepest condolences for your loss. I first met Dave through mutual friends and we shared many good times playing on the same softball teams. Dave was an electric personality and had a contagious zest for life. Your family will be in our thoughts and prayers.

Dear Mollie, Elizabeth and to all the family and friends.
May the God of grace and mercy continue to comfort all of us during this difficult time. I am confident and reassured by Father Martino's confidence that we can remember not only David's gift of life on earth but we can celebrate his eternal life with Jesus. Davids life is just beginning and we can join him one day when we accept the gift of eternal life. For it is written: But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves to God,the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life. For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:22-23
The Father God whistled,"it's time to come home." May we all here the whistle one day.
May all of us accept the free gift so we can see our Lord and David once again.

I knew Dave Baney way back when. We went to Chartiers Valley High School and graduated in the Class of 1975. If I remember correctly we also attended Our Lady of Grace grade school together. When I read of his passing in our paper I knew his name right away and a sadness came over me. It has been a long time but I remember him as a very kind fellow who was that way to everyone. I send to Dave's family and friends my sincere sympathies and will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. God Bless you all.

(Mollie & Elizabeth, my thoughts and prayers be with you both)
To me and our circle of friends it is clear that Dave epitomized the word class in every way. He was always quick to greet you with a smile, maintained a positive attitude unto the end and had an unrivaled zest for quality of life. He respected all his friends and it was easily apparent that he deeply loved and respected his wife Mollie. Dave's light of his life was his beloved daughter Elizabeth as he lit up and glowed whenever talking about her.
I am sure that I speak for all that knew him when I say that his positive attitude and be-friending attitude will be sorely missed. As my dear friend Barry said, Dave was a unique and special one of a kind person that was an honor to call a friend. I am a better person for having known Dave Baney and I speak for everyone when I say he will be sorely missed. I feel so awful for being unable to pay my last respects to someone that I respected so dearly but I wanted all to know that his memory shall live in the way I approach life everyday. My wife met Dave for the first time this past April, and needless to say she left with the impression that he was a very kind, sincere and caring man. Even in the midst of his great battle his number one concern was for his wife, child and friends. It is this unselfish attitude that will epitomize Dave to all that were fortunate enough to have known him. God bless, dear Mollie and know that we share your grief.

I just heard today, Friday, the 26th. Although I knew Dave wasn't doing very well, it still comes as a shock. I've known Dave for almost 20 years and look back with fond memories the times we've had together.
Even though we haven't seen much of each other in a while, I still think of Dave as a friend. He was a good engineer and good man. He will be greatly missed.
With a sad and heavy heart I offer my condolences to Molley and Elizabeth, who will miss him the most.

Dear Mollie,
You may not remember me, but I was David's nurse in ICU. We found a special bond with David and my father's illness. My prayers are with you again as there is so much familiarity in the illness as well as the loss. I am so sorry. It was obvious how much you loved each other. God Bless you and your daughter, and of course David. You are all very much in my thoughts and prayers.
Sincerely,
Stephen, Stephanie, and the boys McMillen
