I didn't know David long. I spoke with him and emailed with him regarding patent ideas and I was struck by his positive outlook, generosity and genuine consideration. I could tell he was a special person and I'm sorry I won't have a chance to work with him.

I went to high school with Dave at Huntington Beach HS. We both graduated in the class of '73. He was a smart and funny guy. We didn't see too much of each other after high school. The last time I remember seeing him was probably in 1979. So sorry to hear he passed away.

Dear David's Family and Office.
I received the death of David with deep sorrow. My sincere condolences to David's family.
I pray for God to rest him in paradise and grant his family with patience.
David was my first in life patient attorney. I am proud I have received my first US patent on March 2007 HHH patent and hoping to complete the other 4 patent pending sand Provisional application under his proffisional supervision. ( The Audi N2 Process, The IDS Process, The NGL recovery with C5 plus recycle and The PADER Process)
On Saturday February 24 2018, I knew David passed away. What a great loss.
My last communication with David was a phone call message I left on his disk and an e-mail he sent me on February 15, 2018.
In his last e-mail, David was happy sending me his pleasure that his efforts with USPTO Had paid off for one of the patent pending AudiN2 which started 9-10 years ago.
Although we have a long distance barrier, but I memorize David with his high understanding and helping attitude to get me along with USPTO attornies battles.
I knew David since 2000 through our highly regarded college Eng. Hamdy Nour El Din and since that time I admire David's skills and his support. He never said to me This will never go in our dealings with USPTO risitant attornies.
I will for ever memorize David. He became a great loss to me and to my inventive Process Engineering ideas.
Rest in heaven dear David.
Yours, Eng. Hussein Mohamed Ismail Mostafa

We got news of Davids passing with shock and a great sense of loss.
For close to thirty years, he had been our friend and worked with us on legal cases. He possessed a positive spirit, optimism, patience and sense of humor that were part of his unique charisma. His love of learning is something to be admired, as he was able to talk about a wide range of subjects, legal and non-legal.
Working with David had been an enjoyable experience. As a legal professional, he was dedicated in his craft, and had endeavored to become highly knowledgeable in his fields of practice. We feel honored to have known David, a lawyer and a gentleman, and above all, a friend anyone would love to have. He will live in our memories.
May much strength go to his family in this trying time.

Memories: September 1973
Dave and Shirley (they were still dating) were the first couple to treat me
to lunch after I relocated to Orange at Marie Callendars, my first ever Frisco burger. Fun times, good memories, and now, a huge loss to his family, friends and community. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, and may the strength of the Lord support you during this time.
