CRICHTON, David Donald:
Passed away peacefully on April 2, 2023, in Christchurch, aged 80 years. Loved son of the late William Crichton and late Ivy (née Murfitt). Beloved husband of Valerie, and cherished father of Andrea, Deidre, and Greg, and their partners Andy, Andy, and Gabrielle. Treasured granddad of Michael, Tristan, Thomas, Alex, Reuben, Elliot, and Eloise. Loved brother of Frances, Duncan, and Stuart. Messages may be addressed to The Family of the late David Crichton, c/- PO Box 39001, Christchurch 8545. In lieu of flowers, donations to St John in David's name would be appreciated, and may be made online at stjohn.org.nz/support-us/donate/. The family extend an invitation to join with them in a celebration of David's life at St Andrew's Presbyterian Church at Rangi Ruru, 16 Merivale Lane, Merivale, on Wednesday, April 12, at 1.30pm.

Dear Valerie and family. Sorry we could not attend the funeral to say goodbye to David. We will never forget the way he helped us over the years. It was very much appreciated. We are thinking of you and send our sincerest sympathy. Linda and Neville Thompson.

Our friendship with David goes back more than fifty years through Juliet knowing Valerie.

We particularly remember David's generous hospitality and his meticulous gardening skills. His wonderful vegetable garden in front of his and Valerie's home on Clifton Hill and his amazing cottage garden complete with picket fence at the end of their section.
We send our deepest sympathy to Valerie, Deidre, Andrea and Greg together with their families. Love from Juliet and Andrew Smith.
