Jan and Family -- Maureen and I were so saddened to hear about Dave's passing. From all of our great times together at AGA activities; to our times together in Southport and on Bald Head Island once Dave retired, it was always special to be with the two of you. Dave was a very special person to so many of us, and he will be sorely missed. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you and we offer our most sincere condolences.

News of Dave's passing has filled me with a profound sense of sadness. This world is a lesser place without his wit, his wisdom, his caring, his advice, his generosity and his friendship. I always looked forward to each AGA event over the years because I knew I'd get the opportunity to catch up with Dave. My deepest condolences to Dave's family.

I worked for Dave at CNG way back in the early 1980s and learned a lot from him about business but more importantly about people. Dave was so bright and full of life, and he had a great talent for making people laugh. As testimony to Dave's popularity, he had a huge number of people attend his party when he left CNG for his promotion to CFO at Piedmont Natural Gas. My deepest condolences to Janet, James, Cara and the rest of his family. May God rest his soul. John Adamiak South Carolina

Dave Dzuricky was the first VP I met when I joined Piedmont as an employee in the Wilmington Resource Center in 2005 and I remember thinking that if all the leaders of the company were as friendly and down to earth as Dave, I have certainly made the right move to join Piedmont. I am saddened by your loss and will keep your family in my prayers.

Sincerely,
Cathy Pleasant

I was sorry to hear the news of Dave's passing. There's a special place in my memory for Dave... the only CFO I've ever known able to employ humor and conversational grace to the field of accounting. Please accept my condolences and prayers for Jan and Dave's family to receive the gift of God's grace and peace.

Dave's easy-going personality endeared him to all. His sense of humor & down-to-earth perspective allowed him to weather life's twists & turns better than most. His outlook on life, even in the face of his final battle, was inspiring. I am privileged to have known him. Condolences to Jan, Jim & Cara and also to Tom & Mary.

Like so many others, I will miss Dave. Even while in retirement and enjoying his time with Jan and his family, he would still find time to comment on a Facebook posting or send a funny email. He always loved a good joke and a good story. If you knew him for a while, you probably heard them a couple of times but, you enjoyed them again because he did. Goodbye, it was great to know you.

Dave and I were altar boys together. We spent our early years at Mount Calvary and then later at Prep. We shared many hours on the golf course and playing pool and generally just hanging around. I will miss his happy, friendly approach to life and all those who met him. Our prayers are for his wife and family.

This photo was taken October, 2016, and depicts four cousins: Kathy, Dave, Bob & Mark. We were born within 6 weeks of each other in 1951, but we'd not been together since 1962. It was Dave who initiated our reunion visit. I'm so grateful for the visit, dear Dave. You spoke with loving pride of your daughter, Cara, and son, James, and your sense of awe and appreciation of their life paths. You glowed with youthful enthusiasm as you recalled first meeting your wife, Jan, on the beach at the peninsula - and you glowed with every mention her - your girlfriend. I cherish the recent memories of your humor, your warmth, your choice of hot chocolate rather than coffee, and that you and Jan have a cat named Toonces (the cat who drives a car), and your kind approach to those with whom you lived and worked.
Your wonderful influence on the lives of others will persist. I will think fondly upon our last reunion and await, with peace, our next. Love, Mark

Dave was one of my favorite cousins. Even at a young age age he had a curious mind. I always enjoyed visiting his home with my Aunt Ann and Uncle Frank, his brother Tom and sister Mary Frances. Those were the "good old days". Even through all these years, Dave holds a special place in my heart. Jan, Tom and Mary Frances, if you want email me at [email protected]. I love you. ❤
