David R. Hiatt 1938 ~ 2008 Hiatt, David Rulon, 70, passed away peacefully on October 31, 2008, at his Aurora, CO residence of 29 years. Born to Rosella Betts and Rulon Hiatt on April 27, 1938 and raised in Salt Lake City, he served our country from 1956 to finally retiring in1986 as US Army Sgt. First Class - a decorated Vietnam and Korean War veteran. Thereafter he served his country in civil service. He loved the outdoors, motorcycles, and hobbies but nothing more than his family. Survived by his children Rose Jean, Gerry, Babette, Benjamin, Nathaniel, nine grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren, his siblings; Lyle Jenson, Ann Pittenger, Marilyn Davis, Shirley Sheppard and Paul Hiatt. He will be missed. He was preceded in death only by his daughter Leticia. He will be missed. For all who loved him, services will be held, Friday, Oct. 7, 2008, 12 noon at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 S. Redwood Road, Taylorsville, UT. Interment, Payson City Cemetery.

To the family: I am Brandy Sky Maxwell, Rose's daughter. I want to send all my condolences and tell all of you that I really enjoyed seeing you and meeting most of you for the first time at the services. Please know that we are here and would love to see all of you again.

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of your father. He was always so good to my mother. He was a friend as well as a brother to her. I wish you all comfort and great memories to hold onto.
