David Homer Obituary
Dave proudly served his country in the US Army. A devout follower of Christ, he found immense joy in encouraging others in their faith journeys. Known for his lighthearted and upbeat outlook on life, Dave had a gift for bringing smiles to those around him with his humor and companionship.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Debi Homer; his brothers Charles (Charlotte M.) and Greg (Becky) Homer; his children, Mike Homer (Gretchen) and Lisa Louder (Tony); stepdaughters Erica Hodges (Brett Polly) and Lacie Hinkle; and grandchildren Nate, Sophia, Lydia & Gabe Louder; Timothy, Luke & Jacob Homer; and Liam Hodges; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He is also remembered by his first wife, Charlotte A. Homer. Dave was predeceased by his parents, Marie and Theodore Homer; his brother Bruce (Tim) Homer; and his parents-in-law Virgil and Roberta Smith.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at St. Maximilian Kolbe Church, located at 5720 Hamilton Mason Rd., Liberty Township, OH 45011.
In honor of Dave's legacy and his passion for helping others, donations may be made to the National Fragile X Foundation (https://fragilex.org/), Liberty Manor for Veterans Inc (https://www.libertymanor.org/), or your favorite charity benefiting Veterans of US Armed Services. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him and inspire them to carry forward his kindness and faith.
