He was an excellent teacher and taught me so very much about AIDS in the late mid 1990's. His kindness and empathy was so genuine. I hope I am a little bit like him in my day to day work with patients.

Just learned today, I met him at Doylestown hospital and then started riding with Dr. Dave many years ago. Great guy, would go out of his way to help others. Great doctor, great friend. He will be missed by many.

I just learned today of the passing of Dr. Loughran. I had fond memories of Dr. Loughran doing my infectious disease rotation as a third year medical student at Osteopathic Hospital in 1990. He was a great teacher. He will certainly be missed.

I was very saddened to hear today of Dr. Loughran's passing. He was a really wonderful guy and a great doctor. I felt very comfortable in his care and truly enjoyed seeing him every few months. He must have been a great Dad and I'm so sorry for your loss. I will always remember him.

I just heard about Dr. Dave's passing; and I am devastated. He literally saved my life 3 years ago and he is beloved to me and my husband Tony. We will always remember his kindness and wit. -Kathy Gioia

I am so sorry to just receive this news of David's passing. My thoughts and prayers go out to all his family and loved ones. I knew David back in 70's and early 80's. In later years he was a tremendous help to my husband who became sick with hepatitis. I will be forever grateful for the compassionate care he provided and will pray for him daily.
