David J. Manion, 69, of Steubenville, Ohio, formerly of Washington, passed away Monday, May 23, 2022. following a lengthy illness. He was born July 16, 1952, in Washington, a son of the late Charles R. and Catherine Ketterman Manion.
Mr. Manion was a 1970 graduate of Immaculate Conception High School and was Roman Catholic by faith. Following his high school graduation, he enlisted in the United States Navy, where he served during the Vietnam War, from 1970 until 1972, receiving the National Defense Service Medal and the Vietnam Service Medal with one Bronze Star.
Following his honorable discharge from the Navy, Mr. Manion attended and graduated from electrician school on the G.I. Bill. He was employed at Cas-Tec for 26 years as an electrician and in customer service before relocating to Ohio, where he opened and operated D.J. Manion Pump Systems and Services until the time of his retirement.
Mr. Manion was a member of the Keystone Club in Washington and was an avid pool shooter and fisherman. He also enjoyed playing cards, spending time with family and friends, and boating at Tappan Lake, Ohio. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
On October 3, 1998, he married Rebecca A. Tost, who survives. Also surviving are four sons, Antonio Manion, Frank (Andrea) Manion, Christopher Cramblett and Stephan (Molly) Cramblett; two brothers, Dennis (Judy) Manion and Thomas (Kathy) Manion; a sister, Kathleen (Charles) Rockwell; two granddaughters, Sophia Manion and Caroline Manion; two brothers-in-law, Robert (Chris) Tost and Nicholas Tost; and two sisters-in-law, Alene Mosko and Patty (Doug) Neavin. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Manion was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Josephine Manion.
Friends and family are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial, which will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, July 18, in the Immaculate Conception Church, St. James Parish, 119 W. Chestnut Street, Washington. Interment will follow at 12:30 p.m. in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville, where full military rites will be accorded by the American Legion Edwin Scott Linton Post #175 and the United States Navy.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson at East Katherine Avenues, Washington, S. Timothy Warco, supervisor / director, Holly Renay Warco, director, S. Timothy Warco II, director, Park N. Crosier, director.

RIP David. I knew you as a nice young boy and part of the Hall Ave /Victoria St Gang:). You also were part of of a great family. I remember your Mom and dad as well as Denny-Tommy-Kathy.
