David B. Mortenson

David B. Mortenson, age 82, a long-time resident of Winchester, passed away on June 28, 2017. He was the beloved husband of Caroleanne (Baker) Mortenson. David was born in Worcester, the son of the late Walmer P. and Ethel E. (Smith) Mortenson. He was educated in the Hudson School system and was a graduate of Hudson High School. He then attended the MA College of Pharmacy. In Winchester, Mr. Mortenson was employed as a pharmacist for over 25 years at Craddock Apothecary. In his spare time, David enjoyed gardening and painting. He was a member of the Winchester Lodge of Masons. In addition to his wife, Mr. Mortenson is survived by six children: Audrey F. Clements of Londonderry, NH, John B. Mortenson of Pawtucket, RI, James E. Mortenson of Winchester, Elaine M. Currie of Danvers, Kathleen A. Walsh of Salem, MA, and Paul D. Mort enson of Bedford. He was also the dear brother of Richard Mortenson of Stow and Robert Mortenson of Blair, NE and is furt her lovingly survived by 16 grandchildren. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather at the Costello Funeral Home, 177 Washington St., Winchester on Friday, June 30th at 10 AM followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Marys Church, 155 Washington St., Winchester at 11 AM. Interment will follow in Wildwood Cemetery, Winchester.
