David McKinley Shadle, 62, of Beaumont, died Monday, October 8, 2012, at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth, Beaumont. He was born on March 16, 1950, in Little Rock, Arkansas, to Rose Marie House Shadle and Raymond Shadle. David worked in machine maintenance for DuPont. In his youth, David was an avid and accomplished golfer. He loved to hunt, and he and his wife, Catherine loved to dance and fish. Most of all, David cherished spending time with his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife of fifteen years, Catherine Shadle; children, Yoshiko Powers and her husband, Jeff; Kody Wada and his wife, Cherri; and Holly Jackson, all of Beaumont; mother, Rose Marie Shadle of Orange; grandchildren, Kaz Wada, Dylan Davis, Kaylee Davis, Reese Lindow, and Jordan Lindow, all of Beaumont; and sister, Becky Smith and her husband, Billy, of Orange. David is preceded in death by his father. A memorial service for Mr. Shadle will be 4:00 p.m., Friday, October 12, 2012, at Broussard's, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A family committal was held at Broussard's Crematorium, Beaumont. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Department 142, Memphis, Tennessee 38148.
