SHOWSTEAD, David A. Died peacefully on Thursday May 28 at home. Raised in Roslindale, 1957 graduate of Charlestown High School. Long-time member of IBEW Local 103, Rotman Electric and choir member of Roslindale and Hanson congregational churches. Loved to sing, play cards, his dog Baker and especially loved spending time with his family. Predeceased by his parents Dorothy and Arthur Showstead. He leaves behind his life partner Linda Habib of Plymouth, Aunt Agnes Showstead of Natick, brothers Philip and wife Rose of Seattle and Paul and wife Suzie of Quincy and former wife Sylvia Boyd, son Michael and wife Christa Showstead of Duxbury, daughter Lauren and husband Mark Levesque of Duxbury, daughter Valerie and husband Michael Lindquist of Kingston, son Peter and wife Lauren Showstead of CT and son Andrew and wife Renee Showstead of Plymouth, as well as 15 grandchildren and 1 gr. grandchild. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, June 2, at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St (Rt.106) KINGSTON, from 4:00 to 8:00PM. A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday June 3, at 11:00AM at the Shepherd Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Mayflower Cemetery in Duxbury.
