David was the son of Concetta Marra Skolyak and David Skolyak. He was a cherished brother to Denise and a beloved uncle to Samantha, Jessica, and great uncle to Mia Bella. David was also a nephew to John and Sandy Marra, Tony and Anna Marra, Alfonz and Joanne Marra, Joe and Michelle Marra, Mario Marra, Fiore and Maryann Marra, Antanatta Marra, Carl and Sue Skolyak, and Leonard and John Skolyak. David was the cousin of Johnny Jr. and his wife Nancy, Jeffrey, Tony Jr. and his wife Chris, Charlie, Paul, Michael, Stevie, Adam, Tony, Pompelio, Marino, Fiore, Johnny, Victorio, Maria, Angela, Rusty, Steven and Michelle.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Dennis Alan Skolyak, and his grandparents, Maria and Pompileo Marra, and Benjamin and Josephine Skolyak, cousins Jimmy Marra and Fonzi Marra, uncle Feleci Oirillio, great-uncle Rico.
